The Ramp Nursery/Childcare Intern plays a vital role by assisting the Nursery Coordinator with the various needs and responsibilities within the ministry. Through a hands-on role that involves administration, practical tasks, and engaging with young children and their families, this person will provide a valuable service to the families of Ramp Church while gaining valuable knowledge and understanding associated with Nursery ministry.

Direct Report: Children's Pastor 

 

Begin June 1st 2024-May 7th 2025 ( 10-12 hours a week)

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Keeping data current

 

• Organization and management of supplies

 

• Personal investment and interaction with children and their families. 

 

• Serve in the nursery at least 4 services a month.  ( 2 Sundays and 2 Wednesdays) 

 

• Serve in childcare during conferences as needed. 

 

• Assist in lesson planning and implementing curriculum, acting as a lead teacher at least twice a month. ​

 

• Assist with planning and organizing childcare and/or activities  for special events 
  
  The Nursery/Childcare Intern will learn valuable knowledge in growing and maintaining a healthy nursery ministry. They will be able to grow in their ability to lead, communicate, and problem-solve while developing administration, organization, and interpersonal skills. This person will also be able to grow in their understanding of early childhood and the wonderful opportunity the church nursery has to come alongside parents in building foundational knowledge in the hearts and minds of young children through encouraging and engaging discipleship.
