RSA: Visual Arts Intern
A Visual Arts Assistant provides valuable service to the Department Chair by assisting with the practical needs as well as offering valuable insight to students. Through hands-on training in the specific arenas of discipleship and administration, a Visual Arts Intern develops well-rounded skills applicable to many aspects of the creative side of ministry.

Timeframe and Commitment: August 1st, 2025 - May 3rd, 2026 (12-14 weekly hours plus events)
Responsibilities:

Take attendance at all VA classes and events

Grade assignments under given curriculum
​

Set up of technology or media needs
​

Assist the Teacher and reinforce instruction taught in the classroom
​

Take notes and typing class summary​

Work with RSM Evangelism and Outreach Assistant to help coordinate ministry opportunities for VA.

Acts as point person for the creative team to help make sets for productions.

Invest and interact personally with students
​

Attend regular and impromptu RU faculty and staff meetings
As Visual Arts Intern, you will have hands-on ministry experience, specifically in the arenas of visual arts, service, administration, and discipleship. This will further your understanding of the ministry of creative arts as well as strengthen your abilities within administration and practical ministry. You will also receive personal discipleship, teaching, and relational investment from RU staff and faculty.
