RU DIRECTOR'S ASSISTANT 

A Director's Assistant provides vital support and heartfelt service to the RU Director utilizing communication, interpersonal, management, and organizational skills. Through hands-on training, discipleship,  and personal connection, a RU Director's Assistant combines administrative and interpersonal skills to effectively assist the director.  This person will be able to grow in their ability to lead, organize, and manage. The Director's Assistant plays a vital role within RU bringing life-giving assistance to the RU Director.

​

Direct Report: Josh Hollingsworth 

 

Timeframe and Commitment: August 4, 2024- May 31, 2025 (10-15 weekly hours, the start date is subject to change) 

 

Responsibilities:​

​

  • Act as Teacher’s Aide (see TA job description for responsibilities) for Director and/or Chief of Staff

​

  • Assist Director with compiling and digitalizing message notes, bible study notes, journal entries, and other notations made by the Director on a daily basis​

​

  • Assist Director with calendar and task management by keeping priorities and projects in front of Director as specified by him.​

​

  • Travel with Director to out-of-town ministry engagements or meetings when necessary and assist with travel arrangements and communication (male team member only).​

​

  • Assist Director with email and phone communications as needed pertaining to inquiries, follow up questions, and any other communication directive given by Director.

​​

  • Assist Director with scheduling meetings including communicating with all parties involved determining the time, location, and duration and confirming said details with all parties. ​

​

  • Assist with All Staff Meetings by printing materials when necessary, recording audio, and taking minutes. Assist with other meetings in the same way as requested by Director. ​

​

  • Attend regular and impromptu RSM faculty and staff meetings

​​

  • As a Director's assistant, you will gain valuable experience operating in the ministry of administration while growing in leadership and management skills. Your involvement within the offices of the Director will bring structure and strength to the organization while also building effective problem-solving skills and developing excellent communication skills within yourself. You will also receive personal discipleship, teaching, and relational investment from RU staff and faculty.
