A RU Academics Assistant adds vital energy and heartfelt service to the director of Academics.  Utilizing communication, interpersonal, management, and organizational skills. Helping keep the academic systems of RU functioning with excellence, an Academic Intern plays a vital leadership role with students and effectively communicates within every arena of RU Academics. Communicating with Core TAs, managing assignments and course efficiency, creating and executing systems, and carrying out directives from RU Admin Team, the Academics Assistant experiences rapid growth in the arenas of service, organization, communication, and administration.

Timeframe and Commitment: August 1st, 2025 - May 3rd, 2026 (10-15 weekly hours)

 

Responsibilities:

 

  •   Assist the RU Academics Director in communicating with students, teachers, and TA's

  •   Perform clerical tasks such as copying, filing, as needed.

  •   Additional duties assigned as needed:  with regard to developing forms, policies, scheduling  meetings, and communication.

  •  Assist with student data input and accurate record keeping in Populi.                                         

  •  Assist Admin Staff with general office duties in all departments

  •  Assist the Director of Academics with tracking students on Academic Probation and with disabilities.

  •  Collaborate with the RU Academics Team with communication and accountability for students in need of additional resources, tutoring, or specialized instruction within Ramp University.                                  

  •  Attend regular and impromptu RU faculty and staff meetings.                                                                  

  •  Assist with general duties involving the admission process as needed.  

  •  Collaborate with the RU Admin Team as primary leader of all Teacher’s Aides within the Core Curriculum and within each School. This includes communication, system creation and execution, grading accountability, Populi usage, and overall classroom experience quality control.​​

  •  Be familiar with and communicate classroom policies, including attendance, tardy, make-up work, grading, meeting requests, et

  •  Attend regular and impromptu RU faculty and staff meetings.

  •  Meet weekly with RU Online Director for mentoring, tasks assignment, and assessment.

 

As the RU Academics Assistant, you will gain valuable experience operating in the ministry of administration while growing in leadership and management skills within a team environment. Your involvement within the administrative systems of RU will bring structure and strength while also building effective problem-solving skills and developing excellent communication skills. You will also receive personal discipleship, teaching, and relational investment from RU staff and faculty.
