2nd Year Scholarship Opportunities

PEER NOMINATED SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship is for upcoming 2nd Year Students who, throughout their 1st Year at RU, exhibit the characteristics of an exemplary leader among their peers.

This scholarship is in the amount of $500.00 to be applied directly to the recipient's tuition

To nominate a classmate for this scholarship, fill out the Peer Nomination Form under the APPLY tab.

HEART OF SERVICE SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship is for 2nd Year Students who, throughout their 1st Year at RU, demonstrated a heart of service within the school.

This scholarship is in the amount of $1,000 to be applied directly to the recipient's tuition

To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant must be an entering 2nd Year Student.

MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

Second Year Merit-Based Scholarships are awarded based on the students cumulative GPA from his or her First Year. There are three tiers of scholarships applicable to GPAs ranging from 3.4 to4.0.

JANAY DOUGLAS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Janay Douglas was a leader among her peers while a student at Ramp University. Janay went to be with the Lord in October 2014, leaving a legacy of a laid down life for God, a burning heart for prayer, a deep love for people, and a sincere devotion to service. This scholarship is awarded to a 1st Year Student that exemplifies these same qualities and is given in Janay's memory.

This scholarship is in the amount of $4,500 to be applied directly to the recipient's tuition

The recipients will be selected by RU leadership and staff

To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant must be an entering 2nd Year Student

CHURCH MATCH SCHOLARSHIPS

RU will match any scholarship/finances given by a student’s church - up to $250

All Church Match Scholarship finances must be sent via check (by the church) to P.O. Box 1508, Hamilton, AL 35570. Please have your church put your name on the memo line of the check. If your church cannot send the finances in this way, please call 205-921-0909 and ask to speak with someone from the finance department.

VISION SCHOLARSHIPS

To be considered for this scholarship, entering second-year students must submit the following:

500 word essay (one page - single spaced, two pages - double-spaced) on the following prompt: Where do you see yourself after RU? How has RU helped prepare you for what you feel called to do?
