RA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant must be an RU 1st Year Graduate in 2024 or before. 

• Current 1st Year Students must be in good academic standing going into the 4th quarter to be considered for a position as Residence Assistant. 

• Applicant must have a $0 balance on his/her record for tuition or housing cost for 2024-2025 school year (or account up-to-date) at RU. Applicants accepted prior to finishing 1st Year will be subject to a secondary review pending successful completion of 1st Year.

• Application must be submitted in its entirety by March 20th, 2024.

RA RESPONSIBILITIES:

​

• You serve as point of connection for your dorm/house in way of communication from RU Staff or Student.

• Assist with student check-in on Move-In Day and Check-Out during Move-Out Day.

• You are the go-to person for maintenance issues and should contact housing interns or Mr. Donnie.

• You are responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness of your dorm/house.  This includes developing a cleaning program for the students to follow.

• You are responsible for creating opportunities for connection and fellowship among the residents of your dorm/house.

• You should be present when students are checking in and checking out of student housing.

• Report relational issues to SRAs, and handle housing disputes according to his/her advisement.

• You are the living example of what an RU Student should look like in conduct, attitude, cleanliness, and spirit.

• You are responsible for seeing that residents understand the importance of respecting RU property.

HOUSING COST:

​

Serving as a Residence Assistant in a satisfactory manner is compensated through free room and board for the duration of the school year.
