PRAYER & MINISTRY INTERN 

A RML Prayer & Ministry Intern provides valuable service to the School Director and Prayer and Ministry Concentration by assisting with the practical needs of RML as well as offering valuable insight to students within the Prayer and Ministry context. Through hands-on training in the specific arenas of prayer ministry and administration, a RML Prayer & Ministry Intern develops well-rounded skills applicable to many aspects of ministry.

Direct Report: Matt Robinson & Josh Hollingsworth

 

Timeframe and Commitment: August 4, 2024- May 5, 2025 (8-12 weekly hours, the start date is subject to change) 
 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist RML Director and Dept. Assistant with organization, communication, planning, and executing experiences related to the Prayer and Ministry concentration
     

  • Assist RML Director and Dept. Assistant with with any technology prep/needs, grading/accountability, note-taking, follow-up, etc connected to  classroom experiences, meetings, and events
     

  • Act as point of contact for all Prayer & Ministry concentration students
     

  • Collaborate with RU Admin on Prayer and Worship spaces requirements (RHP, The David Room, Morning Prayer, etc) utilizing Populi; especially administrating systems to ensure accountability of requirements for Prayer & Ministry students.
     

  • Assist RU Director with Rees Howell Prayer oversight, administration, communication, and prayer leadership. 
     

  • Help steward and lead corporate prayer spaces throughout the semester as organized and assigned by School leadership. 
     

  • Collaborate with the RU Academics Team with communication and accountability for students in need of additional resources, tutoring, or specialized instruction within RML Prayer & Ministry.
     

  • Personally invest into RU 1st and 2nd Year Students as needed or assigned
     

  • Attend regular and impromptu Ramp and RU staff meetings

As a Prayer & Ministry Intern, you will have hands-on ministry experience, specifically in the arenas of administration, prayer ministry, and discipleship. This will further your understanding of multiple facets of ministry and how they impact the individual Christian walk and the global church. You will strengthen your abilities within administration and practical ministry, and receive personal discipleship, teaching, and relational investment from RU staff and faculty.
