A Performing Arts Assistant provides valuable service to the School Director(s) and Concentration Chairs by assisting with the practical needs as well as offering valuable insight to students. Through hands-on training in the specific arenas of discipleship and administration, a Performing Arts Assistant develops well-rounded skills applicable to many aspects of ministry.

Timeframe and Commitment: August 6, 2024 - May 4, 2025 (12-14 weekly hours plus events)

 

Responsibilities (designated to specific concentration- Dance, Theater, Visual Arts):

​

• Take attendance at all RSA classes and events                                                                                                                                                                         

• Grade assignments under given curriculum      

​

• Set up of technology or media needs

​

• Assist the Instructor and reinforce instruction taught in the classroom

​

• Take notes and type class summary

​

• Develop choreography for RSA as directed

                              

• Work with RU Outreach Teams and Ramp Church Teams to help coordinate ministry opportunities for RSA.

​

• Assist with administration, communication, organization, and behind the scenes execution of productions and  performances hosted by RSA and Ramp Events.

​

• Invest and interact personally with students

​

• Attend regular and impromptu RU faculty and staff meetings

 

As a Performing Arts Assistant, you will have hands-on ministry experience, specifically in the arenas of performing arts, service, administration, and discipleship. This will further your understanding of the ministry of dance and drama as well as strengthen your abilities within administration and practical ministry. You will also receive personal discipleship, teaching, and relational investment from RU staff and faculty.
